Bosch GSR 10.8 V-Li Model Identification

Bosch have now released 3 versions of their popular GSR 10.8V-Li Drill Driver.  Unfortunately for buyers and sellers, they have named them all the same!  Hopefully this short guide will help you to understand the different versions.

GSR 10.8 V-Li (Original)

The original GSR 10.8V-Li Was a tidy little Drill/Driver with a 1/4" Hex magnetic connector for holding screwdriver bits.

GSR 10.8 V-Li (MK2)

The MK2 or Second Generation GSR 10.8 V-Li had a new motor and a 'quick release' 1/4" Hex connector.  This securely held the screwdriver bits so they did not come out during use.

GSR 10.8 V-Li (MK3)

The MK3 or Third Generation GSR 10.8 V-Li has another new motor and is much more compact - currently the shortest Drill/Driver on the market.  It still has the quick release 1/4" Hex connector but now has two gears for high speed or high torque usage.

As well as the different versions of the GSR 10.8 V-Li, the GSR 10.8-2-Li with a 10mm keyless chuck has gone through two generations.  The first was similar to the MK2 above and the second almost the same as the MK3 above but with the 10mm keyless chuck.

We hope this short guide helps you identify the different Bosch GSR 10.8 V-Li models
